Professional Driver Improvement Course - PDIC Safety Training...
The   PDIC   is   designed   to   help   professional   drivers   who   operate   vehicles   4,500KG   in   Gross   weight   and   greater,   improve   their defensive   driving   techniques.   The   course   consists   of   a   six   hour   session   in   a   classroom   setting.   The   Driver’s   Notebook   contains   case studies,    driving    tips    and    other    useful    information,    in    addition    to    the    course.    The    course    content    covers    defensive    driving techniques, passing, collision prevention, driving conditions, turns, backing, driver awareness, impairments and vehicle inspections.
Upon completion of this, drivers will learn how to: • avoid potentially dangerous situations • Know how to identify traffic hazards For Employers who already have a large investment in their dirvers, will now provide them with knowledge on how to: • reduce collisions, • reduce vehicle abuse • reduce injuries, and • reduce operating costs. This PDIC course will help drivers learn techniques to: • prevent collisions, • save lives, • deliver cargo safely and on time, • reduce costs, and • maintain good driving habits.
